ROTEC has completed the refurbishment of a Siemens VAU-94.2 gas turbine installed at the North-Western CHP in St. Petersburg. The company has repaired the wheel space and the combustor. It also has completely replaced the blade path. It took 40 days to complete this project.

“Today ROTEC is the only company in Russia capable of refurbishing the turbine within such a short period of time,” comments Mikhail Lifshits, ROTEC Director General. “It is worth noting that all our competitors refused to accept this order due to the tight timing constraints imposed by the customer. Typically, preparatory works preceding the repair of the turbine take up 8 months,” explains Lifshits. “In this case, we completed all the works within six weeks,” adds Director General.

Maintenance of the gas turbines is one of ROTEC’s core business activities. The holding also specializes in supply, monitoring and diagnostics of power generation equipment and pump upgrading, engineering, construction and general contracting.
