18 December 2018 year ROTEC has started a new phase of work under the program for the protection of Lake Baikal

Having successfully completed the construction of the first start-up complex of the right-bank sewage treatment facilities for Ulan-Ude in June 2018, ROTEC started reconstruction of the city's 2nd and 3rd start-up sewage complexes. The works are carried out within the framework of the federal target program “Protection of Lake Baikal and the socio-economic development of the Baikal Natural Territory for 2012-2020”.

Pursuant to the terms of the municipal contract, by the end of 2020 ROTEC JSC will demolish old buildings and build new technological buildings, install ultraviolet disinfection of wastewater, post-treatment bioreactor units and post-treatment filter units. In addition, a laboratory will be built, and external sewage networks and sludge maps with an area of 13,500 m2 will be constructed for the natural dewatering of sediments generated at biological wastewater treatment plants.

The total construction area of the 1st stage of the 2nd start-up complex is 14,850.15 m2. The total construction area of the 1st stage of the 3rd start-up complex is 107,130.06 m2. The design capacity of the treatment plant is 185,000 m3 per day.

The main goals of the reconstruction of the right bank treatment facilities are to improve the environmental situation in the Baikal natural area and increase the reliability of the infrastructure for the city of Ulan-Ude.
