18 June 2018 year ROTEC Helps to Preserve Lake Baikal Environment

ROTEC has fully completed phase 1 of reconstruction of the right-bank sewage treatment facilities in Ulan-Ude and is now turning to the construction of phase 2 and phase 3 of the site. Works are carried out within the framework of the Federal Target Program “Protection of Lake Baikal and the Socio-Economic Development of the Baikal Natural Territory for 2012-2020”.

ROTEC specialists will build structures and assemble equipment for treatment facilities. The facility will be equipped with units for cavitation, ultraviolet disinfection and sludge dewatering. Introduction of cutting-edge technologies will increase the quality of sewage water treatment barring contamination of water bodies, in particular, the Selenga River that flows into Lake Baikal.

Semi-buried reservoirs 62 m x 147 m in size with 7 m high walls made of in-situ reinforced concrete strengthened with reinforcement cages, bar mats and constructional steel bars will be built for bioreactors for additional purification. ROTEC will connect the facility to sewerage and power supply systems; perform estate maintenance and landscape gardening works. As a result, Ulan-Ude will receive a modern, efficient and reliable system of treatment facilities, which will be beneficial for the environmental situation in the region.
