4 August 2014 year ROTEC specialists have repaired the Kaliningrad TPP-2 turbines

ROTEС CJSC specialists have completed a scheduled repair of two gas turbines 160MW each at Kaliningrad TPP-2 (part of Inter RAO OJSC).

The works included an inspection of the hot turbine section after rated service life elimination of the detected defects. In particular, a defect of six guide vanes in stage 4 and seal segments was eliminated on a turbine. The performance of turbines with such damage may degrade.

Kaliningrad TPP-2 is one of the most modern plants in Russia. It is a strategically important infrastructural facility in the Kaliningrad Region ensuring its power independence. The plant capacity enables selling a part of the electric power to Baltic states.

The Power plant service was performed by ROTEС specialists in partnership with Sulzer and QUARTZ Group. ROTEС has introduced Sulzer technologies in Russia since 2010, which has significantly expanded ROTEC competence in power plant service.

Let us remind that ROTEС specialists inspected two Siemens SGT-800 plants and replaced hot section parts at Perm TPP-6 earlier, in March/April of this year and performed an expanded inspection of two gas turbines General Electric PG 6111FA, including the replacement of defective hot-section vales, at Syzran TPP in May/June.
