ROTEC JSC experts have conducted a minor inspection of the two turbines GTE-160 and examined their auxiliary equipment at the branch of the Urengoy GRES operated by Inter RAO - Electric Power Plants JSC. All operations have been successfully completed in nine days.
During the minor inspection, the company’s experts have examined the combustion chambers, blading and other hot section parts of the plants. Flow parts inspection with a borescope has shown no significant defects. In addition, the ROTEC experts have replaced the coarse filters and moisture traps of filter house during the works. This will reduce wear and tear of the gas turbines GTE-160 due to better air preparation: removing of moisture and solids.
“We have expanded the geography of our cooperation with Inter RAO and conducted the minor inspection at the Urengoy GRES, which we have never inspected before. Working in the north is new and important experience for ROTEC’s team. Such climatic conditions increase requirements primarily to the reliability of equipment. I would like to specially thank the station employees: their professional behavior and cooperative attitude allowed us to complete the works ahead of schedule”, noted Dmitriy Maslov, the head of the project.
