Sulzer increases investments and production of ceramic powder materials at its plant in Buchwald (Germany) in response to the growing demand for ceramic materials and coatings from the semiconductor and solid oxide fuel cell market.

“Application of the hardening technologies improving the surface quality of the components is essential for any machine building and instrument-making industries,” comments Mikhail Lifshits, ROTEC ZAO Director General. “It is one of the factors contributing to the marketability and sustaining the growing demand in current economic conditions.”

Ceramic coatings manufactured by Sulzer can be widely used in power generation machine building, oil and gas industries, aviation and space industry, particularly due to their high efficiency, improved thermal insulating properties and wear resistance.
